Refund policy
For subscriptions to the hosted API at
api.attestwire.com. This is the same policy as
section 7 of the terms, on a page of
its own so it can be read without reading a contract. Where the two
could be read differently, the terms win.
Cancelling
Cancel any time through the billing portal. No email, no retention call, no "are you sure" sequence. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and your key keeps working until then; after that it falls back to the free tier rather than being deleted.
Three ways to reach the portal
Losing one email is not a dead end:
- the billing-portal link in any Paddle receipt we have sent you;
GET /v1/billing/portalon the API, authenticated with your key, which mints a fresh link;- hello@attestwire.com, where a person cancels it for you.
Paddle issues its portal links per customer rather than as one public login page, which is why this is a route rather than a bookmark.
When we refund
If the API materially failed you, ask and we refund the month. An outage, a validation result that was wrong in a way that cost you, a month you paid for and could not use — email hello@attestwire.com and say what happened. We would rather refund a month than argue about one.
Two things this does not cover, stated here rather than discovered later. Unused quota is not refunded: the allowance is documents per calendar month, it does not roll over, and a month you used lightly is not refunded in part. And there is no proration mid-period — cancelling partway through a month ends the subscription at the end of that month rather than refunding the remainder of it.
The Invoice Fix Report, which is not a subscription
If it does not resolve your problem, email us and we refund it. That is the whole test, and it is deliberately the buyer's judgement rather than ours: you paid $99 to get an invoice unstuck, and if it is still stuck the money goes back. There is nothing to cancel — it is one payment, no card is kept on file, and the 30 days of API access simply stop.
Email hello@attestwire.com with the transaction id from your Paddle receipt. You do not have to wait for the report to arrive before asking, and you do not have to argue the case: say it did not help. The one thing we cannot do is un-issue an API key that has already been used, so a refunded report ends the access with it.
How the money comes back
Paddle is the merchant of record for the hosted API. It sold you the subscription and took the payment, so it is Paddle that processes the refund, and it goes back to the original payment method — we do not hold your card details and cannot refund you any other way. Refunds are handled under this policy and, for the payment itself, under Paddle's Buyer Terms.
How long it takes to appear is not ours to promise. Once Paddle has issued the refund, when it shows up on your statement is decided by Paddle and by your card network or bank — typically several business days, sometimes longer, and outside our control. If it has not arrived and you think it should have, email us and we will chase it with Paddle.
Asking
One address, and it reaches a person rather than a queue: hello@attestwire.com. Tell us which key or billing email the subscription is under and what went wrong. The full billing terms — currency, tax, notice periods for price changes — are in section 6 of the terms.
Last updated . If this page changes materially we will say so here rather than silently swapping it.
